We had a make / bake breakfast sale in the office today. It was truly amazing to see everyone’s spirits - all the young ladies contributed towards the cooking / baking… and every one paid towards Sierra Leone. Well done!!
Can you tell I finally learned something from the photography course!!!!
This is what I did this weekend…. Went searching for fountains… and stood there and clicked a million pictures…. Finally get something correct… YIPPEE!!!
One lovely morning in March - I was taken aback initially by all the colors our garden holds...then I pretty much lost myself in it. Who knew what colors lay beyond the window sill.
I'm not sure what you call this one...but the local ladies wear it in their hair a lot..and it always looks so pretty.
The coconut is one of the few fruits that can be completely utilised from the husk, to the shell, to the water. Pictured are the husks, used to fuel fires.
A close up of a pile of dry leaves - the texture of the leaves and the color - made something so simple, really beautiful.
The coconut...which fell straight from the tree, was cracked open and the pulp and water - what a treat!
Green bananas...ripe in less than a week and tasted FABULOUS...there's so much pleasure in eating the fruits and veggies from your own backyard...always so much sweeter!
The few instances when I pointed my lens to the sky.
And these few, were my favorites of the day.
To quote Alice in Wonderland, 'you can learn a lot of things from the flowers'.
